Dr. Maria “Masha” Negri, PT, DPT is a hands-on physical therapist with a focus on getting people back to the movements and activities they care about most. Her style blends precision, curiosity, and a deep respect for the individuality of each patient. Ensuring highly personalized and refreshingly human healthcare, in a world where that is hard to come by.
Education
Doctor of Physical Therapy Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions (MGH IHP), Boston, MA
Bachelor of Science, Exercise Science Brooklyn College (CUNY), Brooklyn, NY
Masha specializes in:
Orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries
Post-surgical rehabilitation, including ACL reconstruction recovery
Sports-related injuries and return-to-sport training, focus on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Postpartum recovery and rehabilitation
Chronic pain and movement dysfunction
Functional mobility and strength training
Her treatment approach is a combination of manual therapy with strength and mobility training and thoughtful activity modification. With a background in personal training, her precise and intentional cueing is something that helps clients not just perform exercises, but actually feel them. The goal is simple: to move better, with understanding and confidence while always having fun.
A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt with over 13 years on the mat, Masha understands the discipline of training and the frustration of injury, not only professionally, but personally. After undergoing ACL reconstruction, she successfully returned to jiu jitsu, an essential hobby that continues to shape her life.
Sessions with Masha are equal parts structured and adaptable. Expect hands-on treatment, targeted exercise, and clear, practical guidance. Each visit is designed not only to address root issues and current symptoms, but to build a deeper understanding of your body and how it moves. My goal is to get you to your own personal standard, however high that may be.
Outside the Clinic
When she is not treating, Masha spends her time as a mother and wife, balancing family life with her ongoing personal fitness and jiu jitsu goals.
