Why Choose Dr. Myriah Pahl, PT, DPT
Dr. Pahl founded Good Life Physical Therapy in Westchester to provide the kind of thoughtful, high-quality care that treats the whole person—not just the symptoms. Patients describe her approach as transformative, deeply personal, and refreshingly fun. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or working toward better posture and mobility, Dr. Myriah will help you understand your condition and give you a clear plan of action that will help you feel confident and connected to your body.
What is a session with Dr. Myriah like?
Myriah starts her hour-long sessions with plenty of time to discuss how you are feeling and how the last treatment affected you. She will ask about specific concerns and pains as well as functional activities to see what is being affected by your issue. She will assess any changes in strength, mobility, or function. She plans a series of movements taking into account what muscles and joints are stiff and which ones will benefit from stabilizing. You’ll then be led through exercises with hands on correction to challenge your muscles. Stretching and breathing are usually integrated into the exercises. Then you’ll return to the massage table and will benefit from hands on mobilization, massage, and various other manual techniques to improve mobility and comfort. You’ll be given enough time to ask questions at the end and review any changes to your home exercise prescription and discuss the plans for the remainder of your treatment sessions. Each visit will be uniquely designed for how you show up that day and will be lighthearted. You won’t realize how hard you worked because you’ll leave feeling so good.
Outside the Clinic
When she’s not with patients, Myriah can be found backpacking in the mountains, cooking elaborate meals with her partner in Tarrytown, or struggling to stay balanced in various yoga poses at many of the local yoga studios. Her lifelong love of movement includes training in yoga, Pilates, trampoline, trapeze, gymnastics, and circus arts—which gifted her enough injuries to become interested in a career in physical therapy and continues to contribute to her creative, intuitive approach to healing and body mechanics.
Myriah grew up on her family’s farmland in North-East Connecticut.
